Who Am I?

Hey, I'm Darlan! I'm a photographer based in Melbourne — originally from somewhere mysterious, or at least that's what everyone says when they hear me talk. No one can ever place the accent, but don't worry, I'm very understandable... most of the time.

I co-founded Honey Weddings with my partner Christian because we genuinely believe your wedding day should feel like you — not a photoshoot. I'm the kind of photographer who blends into the party, gets way too excited talking about cameras, and yes, absolutely loses it on the dance floor when the Nut Bush comes on. No promises I'll stay behind the lens for that one.

My favourite moments? Honestly, two things: watching a dance floor come alive, and couple portraits. There's something that fascinates me about stepping away from the chaos for a few minutes and just capturing the two of you together. That's where the magic happens.

Before we work together, I'd love to jump on a quick video chat first. No pressure, no pitch — just a chance to see if we vibe. Because at the end of the day, you're not just hiring a photographer. You're inviting someone into one of the biggest days of your life.

Do you travel outside Melbourne?
Yes. Travel is free within 100 km of Melbourne CBD. For locations beyond that, a small travel fee applies.

Can we add more hours of coverage?
Yes, you can add extra hours if you feel you need more coverage. Just let us know before or even on the day.

How do we book?
Once you are happy to go ahead, we send a simple online contract and invoice. A deposit is required to secure your date.

Can we customise the package?
Yes, we can adjust some parts like extra film rolls, extra hours or albums. Just ask and we can create something that fits your day.
